Blockhouse Wines A small, isolated fort built using locally quarried stone. The blockhouse served as a defensive strong point constructed by the British during the Second Anglo-Boer War. Even though relatively few saw action, they nonetheless played an important part in bringing the conflict to an end. Blockhouse Wines are as rich as South Africa’s own history and includes a delectable range of local favourites such as a Pinotage, Sauvignon Blanc as well as a sweet Rosé.
